Cloudbuster Indoor
Schedule for Heritage
Please find the Cloudbuster
Indoor Schedule in the Chart below. Hours will be 8:00 to 10:00 as in the past.
Fred Tellier will be in charge of the Mini Stick and Limited Penny Plane, Dave
Bubolz has offered to do the race events and Mike Welshans will do the FAC 6.2
gram No Cal and Blatter 40 events.
Note that we have reverted
back to the format where very light models will be flown on the same nights as
FAC No Cal Scale (6.2 gram min.) and Blatter 40. As in the past Science
Olympiad competitors and their models will be welcome on every evening flying
session. We expect that those flying all events will have courtesy when
launching their model as many types models could be airborne at a given time.
We have added one new race
event this year. On January 18th we will have a Blatter 40 pylon
race (How fast can you make one go?) in addition to regular Blatter 40.
Also on December 7th, Pearl Harbor day we will have a commemorative
WW-II event using the Mike Nasisse FM-I Wildcat as a one plane event. The model
is an easy build and it should fly great as all Mike’s models do. This model
can also be flown in the FAC No Cal event. Thank you Mike for letting us
republish this great looking plan.

Profile
Scale Pylon Race follows FAC No-Cal rules except that the model must represent
a plane that competed in either cross country or pylon racing from any era. An
official flight is 2 complete circuits around the pylons. The final score is
the lowest time from a maximum of three official flights. The Dayton-Wright
racer will qualify for the Profile Scale Pylon races.
Unlimited
Phantom Flash is an attempt to allow some creativity with a simple design
airplane. The only restriction is that the plane conforms to the outline shown
on the plan. Structural material, covering, prop, etc. are at the discretion of
the modeler. Scoring will be the best of three official flights over 20
seconds.
Blatter
40 is intended as competition between similar plans built airplanes. Models
must use wood sizes on the plan with tissue covering. Propeller must be based on
a commercially available plastic propeller with 5 1/2 inch maximum diameter.
Props may be scraped and/or trimmed to size. Prop hanger and thrust bearing are
builder’s choice. Model must R.O.G. on each flight. Score is the total of three
official flights over 20 seconds.
