Heritage Indoor Sessions – Contest Rules

Blatter 40 ROG

  1. Models must use wood sizes on the plan.
  2. Propeller must be based on a commercially available plastic propeller with 5 1/2 inch maximum diameter. Props may be scraped and/or trimmed to size. Prop hanger and thrust bearing are builder’s choice.
  3. Must R.O.G. each flight.
  4. Unlimited attempts to obtain 5 official flights of 5 seconds or more.
  5. Final score is total time for best 3 flights.
  6. At each session points for the season long championship will be awarded based on reverse order of placement of all the Blatter 40s posting at least 1 official flight. For example, with three flyers posting at least one official flight, the highest score receives 3 points, second highest score 2 points, and third highest score 1 point. If only one flyer completes one official flight, they will receive 1 point toward the season total. Fliers with tie scores will split the points for the places involved with the tie.

 

FLIP HLG

  1. Models must use wood sizes on plan. (If tossing the HLG is a limitation, the Flip may be modified for rubber catapult launching and still compete with the HL versions.)
  2. Unlimited attempts to obtain 5 official flights of 5 seconds or more.
  3. Final score is total time for best 3 flights.

 

FAC NO-CAL PROFILE SCALE (REFER TO FAC RULE BOOK)

  1. Competition for recognizable profile scale models.
  2. Models must have authentic color scheme, control outlines, registration numbers, etc. Have proof of scale or published plan available.
  3. Surfaces may be single covered.
  4. Motor sticks may not exceed length of fuselage. No propeller restrictions. Min weight 6.2gm without motor.
  5. Wing span 16 inches maximum.
  6. Hand launch.
  7. Unlimited attempts to obtain 5 official flights of 5 seconds or more.
  8. Final score is total time for best 3 flights.
  9. FAC Kanone Report will be submitted with 3 or more flyers making official flights.

 

NO-CAL PYLON RACING

  1. Follow FAC NO-Cal Profile Scale rules except as noted.
  2. Models must represent aircraft which actually competed in sanctioned pylon racing events.
  3. Wing span limited to 13 inches.
  4. Unlimited attempts to obtain 3 official flights.
  5. An official flight is 2 consecutive laps where the flight path remains outside of the pylons.
  6. Final score is the lowest official flight time.

 

A6

  1. Maximums: 30 sq in wing area, 15 sq in horizontal tail area, 6 inch motor stick, 6 inch diameter prop.
  2. No special indoor materials. (Minimum weight expected to be => than 1.2 grams.)
  3. Minimums: wing & tail spar material 1/16 X 1/16 inch, wing & tail rib material 1/16 X 1/32.
  4. Prop: built-up 1/32 inch flat sheet balsa blades or unlightened commercial plastic prop.
  5. Unlimited attempts to obtain 6 official flights of 5 seconds or more.
  6. Final score highest official flight time.
